Welcome to Focus Opera

Driven by a passionate desire to communicate and reinterpret the music and stories from the world of opera, Conductor and Composer Benjamin Ellin and Director Keith Cheetham founded Focus Opera. Since it’s inception in 2009, Focus Opera has aspired to tailor it’s productions to site specific locations using the physical space to create an arena in which the concept, drama, music and performers unite with the audience into a cohesive and meaningful whole.

Alongside their operatic repertoire Focus Opera actively promotes new compositions and collaborations with other artistic disciplines together with developing projects for younger audiences and performers. Focus Opera performs annually with new productions as well as delivering workshops and collaborative projects; bringing the highest standard of artistic performance into the arena of the everyday.
